"Dancing Souls" Dance Improvisation, Yoga & Meditation in the Desert
For whom? Open to anyone willing to live in a very simple nomadic camp, share convivial moments in small groups (about 15 participants) and interested in exploring the desert through movement and perceptions.
The dunes offer us a magical, silent and vast landscape for us to slow down to the speed of life. Alone, in duo and in groups, we engage in a sensory and playful approach to our environment. We share a group adventure for a week where we use a physical pathway to be fully present and feel more.
Goals : - Yoga and guided meditations will bring us into a state of deeper presence, awakening the body and bringing the mind into the moment and in harmony with the silence. - explore the resonance of our body landscapes in tune with the natural surroundings. - Improvised dance invites us to go on an inward journey, become more sensitive, dialogue with others through a fluid common movement.
Approach Elements of Contact Improvisation, Butoh, New Dance and Authentic Movement will guide us for playful and sensitive dances in the sand. Contact improvisation is based on a natural exchange of weight between one’s body and the sand dunes, listening to one's own perceptions. The improvisation is made of a delicate touch, negotiated games of balance, flight and light falls with one or more partners in movement.
